Shade grown. Exceptionally balanced, good acidity, full body, rich spicy cup with black current and dark chocolate notes. We purchase this coffee directly from Edwin Martinez, a third generation coffee grower. Grown on steep hillsides in the highlands of Guatemala’s Huehuetenango region, shade grown and fertilized with sheep manure. This is one of the gems to come out of Guatemala. Winner of Guatemala 2004 exceptional cup award and consistently one of the top coffees in Guatemala. Finca Vista Hermosa is used as a sample coffee at Anacafe (national coffee association of Guatemala). This coffee is rare and not always available, as demand greatly outweighs supply.
